Introduction to SSAS

In this course, you’ll learn how to use SSAS in your enterprise. This training takes you from the ground up, teaching you the fundamental skills needed to develop and deploy SSAS solutions and present this new data to your end users.

He has been selected as a speaker for conferences like PASS, SQLSaturdays and Code Camps for many years, and is the President of the SQL Server User Group in Jacksonville, Florida (JSSUG).


What to Know Before the Class

This class assumes that you have no previous knowledge of OLAP or Analysis Services. Technical knowledge of basic database design concepts is assumed. It is required that you already know how to navigate around SQL Server 2005/2008/2012/2014 and how to query a SQL Server.

  • Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012, Microsoft Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8
  • 1 GHz or faster CPU
  • 1 GB of available RAM (recommended 2 GB)
  • 20 GB of free hard drive space
  • SQL Server Developer, Standard or Enterprise Edition 2008/2008R2/2012/2014
  • AdventureWorksDW2008R2 or AdventureWorksDW2012 databases installed on the instance
